In My Favorite Kitchen Chair
I love the kitchen. Candy (my kitty sitter) says I do nothing but eat. That's not true. I sleep a lot, too.
My Favorite Thing
Candy of Cozy Critters took this photo of me while she was taking care of me this month. Mom was at the Christmas Tree Shop and found this long tunnel for only $3.00. I know it looks like I am resting here, but I get lots of exercize racing back and forth through the tunnel.
Adjusting to Life with 200 Roosters
Everywhere I look, there are roosters. Somehow, Mom's friends thought she wanted a collection and started giving them to her. They are everywhere. I was supposed to put on a rooster costume for Halloween. (I hid it behind my kitchen paper bag.)
I am an only cat. My Mom missed the other Mandu so much (she died in the Spring at age 15 1/2) that my Dad insisted that she find another kitty. The other Mandu was a girl, registered as a service cat. She used to climb up on Mom's chest and massage her neck when Dad's medical equipment was not working right. (I'm still trying to learn how to tell Mom when her coffee pot beeps.)
I was born in northern Connecticut. It was a long ride home to southeastern Connecticut when my Mom picked me up. On the way home, she asked if I'd like to be called "K2" after the second highest mountain in the Himalayas, or if I would prefer to be called "Mandu", too, like the cat before me. I told her I much preferred, "Mandu, Too", so that is how I got my name.
