I must go find myself a ship.......

Posted by Picasa

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

Inexpensive New Toy

Dad just made me a fun toy by cutting round holes in an USPS Priority Mail box. He put some of my favorite toys in there. It is fun trying to get them out.

Just Lazy, that's all.

My friend, Rio

Hi. You may have wondered where I was. I am laying low, so I don't get into too much trouble. (I heard Sandy Paws may be coming soon.)

I want you to meet my fuzzy friend, Rio, who is not from Brazil, but rather, Barcelona. Mom really likes Barcelona (well, she went there 3 times last year). Doesn't Rio look handsome, but maybe a little sad. He just started blogging and doesn't have many friends. (I seem to have a knack for finding new bloggers.) I know you are really busy helping your Mom put up decorations, but if you can find the time, Rio would be thrilled to know there are other bloggers out there. You can click here to go to his blog.

Where Were the Cats?

Mom can't resist taking animal pictures on her trips. On her 3rd visit to Qaqortoq, Greenland, she met these two.

Abbey Needs Friends

I have a new friend, Abbey, in South Africa. She is new to blogging, so you might all go over and say "Hi".

I Am So Happy!

Mom was coming home from a meeting the other night and noticed that the car thermometer was showing 31F. (That's 0 degrees centigrade for my European friends.) She came right home and brought my friend, Phil, into the house. I was so happy to see him and kept rubbing my face against his fronds. I am so thankful he is still alive! If you didn't get to read about poor Phil, just click on this link.

Apologies

I guess only Mom could see the photo that was posted for Wednesday of me in the rocking chair. (I think she must have added it when Google was googling.)

Dad made me choose between 3 of my favorite boxes this morning. I wanted to keep all 3, but he said it was getting difficult to walk around in the kitchen. It was hard to choose, but the flaps need to be just right for resting my chin.

He's Back!

You remember my friend, Marco, who lives down the road from me....
He was reading my blog about how I was always getting into Mom's fabric, and he decided to start taking naps on his Mom's ironing board in her sewing room. Thank goodness, he waits until she takes away that hot thing!
